We were informed by the director and co-director, that within this scene, Hannah would be in bed and reach for the phone on the bedside table. The table was cluttered when starting to prepare for set dressing, so we cleared it up by removing it from the room or placing it on a lower cabinet shelf to make the top surface less crowded, representing Hannah's living style and how it reflects her character, a clean and organised individual.

I took into consideration the naturalism of how a bedroom should be set up, for example, most people would keep a hairbrush or drink at arms reach when in bed. So when placing those items, I decided to make them look accessible from the bed to enhance a naturalistic environment.

The usage of crystals was also used to use the environment to add more personality to Hannah's character, such as her interests and beliefs.

Posters were then added onto the wall to make the bedroom seem more 'lived-in' and cluttered. We also wanted to reflect the fact that she is a singer with using the poster of Jeff Buckley, allowing the audience to denote more on her character as well as making the environment more appeasing to the eye.

The lighting department had also placed a light behind the bed, it was a struggle at first as the bed is the only thing that can hold it in place. I assisted with propping it up there.

For versatility, a movie poster 'Lost Boys' was added to remove any empty space on the wall above the bed. Unfortunately, the Barry Manilow poster didn't arrive in time, it was planned to be placed on the wall next to the bed side table.

Some vinyls were placed on top of the wardrobe to further show Hannah's interest in singing and music.

I noticed that the wall wasn't fairly decorated and didn't seem too much like a dressing room as it was too bare. So I solved this by printing out musicians, personalising the dressing room to Hannah, as well as making the scene seem more appealing when it came to set dressing. Make up was also placed here too. When placing the make up, we took into consideration the natural placement of the make up. Usually the eyeshadow would be closest to the person with brushes next to it, linking both props together, as well as having the hair brush at arms length.

The flowers were also ready as a prop for the scene, for when Hannah reads the note on them. Me and Joe decided to both write the 'Best first date ever' and 'WE KNOW YOU KNOW' in different handwriting, so therefore I wrote the 'Best first date ever' and Joe wrote 'WE KNOW YOU KNOW' to show as if different people had written the notes with differing handwriting.

A bottle of water was added, as it's usually associated with performers and singers to prepare for a performance or for intervals.

The bed was arranged in the archetypal 'worship/sacrifice' set up, with candles being around a circle with a symbol in the centre. We also put props in the centre which would work as 'offerings', such as the picture frame with Hannah's actress in, giving the audience the idea of what/who the worship was aimed towards. As well as the statue of Hannah, further showing the cults obsession with Hannah to have made a statue of her.

The knife also worked as a prop for my character when unsheathing it and showing my madness, so it wasn't actually placed in the scene and wasn't visible until my character took it out from underneath the cloak.

The bottle was used for which Kirstie's character would drink from to swallow the coffee beans.

We had managed to secure in purchasing some bin bags, and used the spare cans I had found to fill it up. It was a test when it came to balance, as we needed a lot of cans in the bag, but couldn't take too many props out of the scene to the point where it would be too bare. So I filled the bag a quarter full as well as leaving some cans outside for scenery, as well as props for Hannah to use when she is cleaning up within the scene.

I decided to approach this script with pure naturalism whilst still holding on to the comedic aspect of this story. So I portrayed Ryan as an insane character with my actions, such as drawing the blade from under my cloak, this added a sense of mystery and surprise through my character, showing his insanity and obsession for bloodshed.

When being criticised for his liking for blood, I involved the naturalism further by showing looks of disappointment and disinterest from George and Kirstie. Then the previous excitement is rekindled when Mystic Michael backs up Ryan, returning to my previous expression and mannerism.

We then sang a Copacabana parody 'Hannah-cabana' to show our worship towards her. We would all forget certain lines of it and then go back on track. I did this by shyly hiding in my cloak and looking around as if to distract my attention from the awkward situation, then go back to dancing and swaying my shoulders whilst smiling, heavily endorsing the comedic choice made by the director.

I had to hit my mark on the floor to make sure I was in the frame correctly at the right time.

I took my role in the direction of being even more psychotic in this scene, specifically at the line 'and so blood spills'. Widening my eyes, and grinning widely. My hand movements did get too much in the shot at times so I had to keep them minimal and be mindful of how it would affect the shot.

I believe this final shot would be the one used in the final product as it had not only my reactions and dialogue in the shot, but Mystic Michael and Kirstie too.

It assisted me greater having the rest of the cast with me on the shoot, as I had an eyeline to go off. It also assisted me in feeling more immersed within the scene as my character as I wasn't having to pretend that people were there. Hearing their dialogue and seeing their reactions allowed me to react well too.

I decided to communicate my characters emotional rollercoaster throughout the scene by acting afraid at the conflict between Hannah and Morgan, and being fearful and hurt by Hannah's insults by shying away and bending my body structure to show retreat within the scene.

Glass bottles were placed on the table for the close up shot. Prioritised placing the large bottles in the centre of the table so that all of the drinks (cans included) could be seen within the shot, as well as keeping them away from the edge if they were to fall.

It also felt more naturalistic to have the heavier bottles in the centre as that's where the placement tends to be when it comes to much larger bottles, and having the light and drinkable cans and glasses on the outside.

The set design team met up to discuss what kinds of props we were going to include and designated who would provide them and bring them onto set for production.

A chart was made to show this and was colour-coded to who would bring what between myself, Joe and Callum.

We brought into thought the budget and how we could find affordable props. Also, we decided to make sure to keep the receipts for any props we provided for our production.

When I auditioned, I had initially gone for the role of Morgan. But was pleased with my character, Ryan, as it was more fitting for me.

When reading over the script, I got the notion that Ryan was comedically psychotic, being quite melodramatic with his dialogue when expressing his desire for blood.

So within my acting choice, I decided to show him as lacking context by randomly appearing with a manic state, shown through my wide eyes and wide grin.

I adapted a lot of my work from my previous modules when looking at Stanislavsky's naturalism and applied it to my character whilst adding my own personal touch to it.
