Closed captions are an easy to add, but often overlooked, strategy for ELL students. While videos and activities are beneficial, adding closed captions can allow students to see written words to match the spoken language in your video content. I totally agree that it is important that for educator to reach and aim for total student connection. In teaching ELL, it is always great learning experience if we can incorporate writing, speaking, drawing, listening and other ways to immerse in the language.

The website I wanted to share with you is Seesaw. This is an online platform where students can make and post their own portfolios. So as students learn different concepts they can post their thoughts to their portfolios in the form of drawings, pictures, videos, writing, and much more. As a teacher you are able to get direct feedback from your students on how they feel about assignments and if they are understanding the concepts.
