Form a research question and share your results here. You can copy the table from Activity 2.4 with your own answers filled in. Take a look at the questions of your peers and add comments/questions, for example if you already have experience with a certain practice or you can also just provide them some encouraging feedback.

I confess I found it really hard to come up with (only) one research question. I always have lots of things I wish I knew more about, I could do more about or I want to know more about. Just me being me, I guess. Also, I have a huge problem, as I won’t have much time to implement this research (as I think it would deserve) as it collides with 2 Erasmus+ mobilities and Easter holidays in Portugal. So, I had to really narrow down my research and refrain myself from being ambitious, which is quite difficult for me, believe me. I’ll give it my best, though.

So, this is my research question – “How can I enhance students’ critical thinking skills and promote their civic participation in society while working on their language proficiency?” – which will be no more than a short study case. In the pdf document you have the steps I’ll try to follow.

My students have complex learning and physical needs. They are on a course in a large further education college but I want to increase their opportunity for mixing with students from across the college. Lunch time is a particular time when the students sit together but other students do not interact with them. I would like to set up a lunch time project to enable engagement and friendships to be made between my students and another faculty. The head of faculty for A Levels is very supportive of inclusion and so I am going to work with her to set up my project. I would like to try and monitor social communication and self- esteem and see if the social contact has a positive impact on both groups of students. Initially the idea is that my students with complex needs should gain confidence and a better self esteem from the social engagement but after researching I feel that it could actually benefit the A Level students as much, just in a different way. My question will be along the lines of:
Will a project to bring students with complex learning and physical needs into regular lunchtime social contact with A Level students improve social communication and/or self-esteem?

Regarding the correlation between teacher stress and their use of classroom management techniques, I believe one way of looking at it would be to collect information that teachers consider to be effective and ineffective in the classroom. In my teacher community, we often times discuss the fact that the current regulation in force has no effects on student behaviour and we stumble upon what would actually positively impact students' behaviour. Perhaps this AR will shed some light into this. I am planning on asking for both teachers' input on this, as well as students' and parents'.
