1. I chose a chocolate cake recipe that my mom used to make
2. I want to try stop motion filming and some jump cut "magic". Also, cake is at the end.
3. I want ingredients, preparation, and the voice over to all be done in a very particular way. This will make more sense when I provide the material I will be basing it off of.
4. I want the audience to think that this was a funny if not a surreal experience.
5. I want the audience to remember the jump cut magic.
6.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBpxVdpMBZk there is what i am trying to emulate, except simplified a little bit
7. Definitely on the longer side, closer to 90 seconds.
8. I feel like stop motion animation will take a long time along with the voice over.

How did this third week go for you? What was challenging? What could Mr. Burr have done better?

This week went okay. It didn't go great or terrible. Something that was challenging was doing the stop motion. The actual photo part wasn't that bad, it was trying to take the pictures and turn them into a stop motion animation. This part was horrible. Imovie has a cap on how short a photo can go and this is at 4 times as long as a frame is. This means that my stop motion video with 111 frames took an entire 15 seconds instead of 3.5 seconds like it should. So instead of doing this, I spent an hour looking around for stop motion programs online. The problem with these is that the majority of them only take videos and turn them into "stop motion" edits. Those programs which did take videos only went up to like 30 pictures which was horrible. I ended up using Premiere Pro and stumbling through it until I figured it out. Mr. Burr did fine.

What was the most valuable thing you learned this week? Why?

The most valuable thing that I learned was preparation. I probably spent more time on preparation than actually filming the thing. This is because I organized all the ingredients in order and took all the cutaway gag shots beforehand.

How did you feel about the storytelling? Are your proud of your project? What went well? What could go better?

I spent probably 4x the time on this video than my previous two videos. However, with the last 2 videos I had a clear idea and I executed it well in my opinion. In this video, I had a clear idea, but I did not thing I did it well. through this video I learned that I should not do voice overs, as I convey very little emotion. Furthermore, I feel as if the entire video is rushed and repetitive. Lastly, I feel like non of my in video gags landed really well.
