         <description><![CDATA[<div>William A. Clark was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania on January 8, 1839. In 1862, he traveled west to become a miner. Clark eventually found his fortune in the Montana Gold Rush. He also made a fortune in copper mining, smelters, electric power companies, newspapers, and railroads.
