Bhd. and my working department is front office. My daily working time is 8 hours and it is shift working.

This is the first time I serve the foreign guests. First, my senior teach me to use the official system of Perhentian Island Resort Sdn. Bhd. and edit guest details when the check in. The purpose to fill the guest details is for us to refer after they check out. We also need to make sure the guest have paid for the tourism tax, so the system need us to do a remark for foreign guests. 
Procedure when checking in guest:
1. Serve welcome drinks.
2. Ask for the reservation name.
3. Check in the system and ask the guest to fill up the registration card.
4. Request passport from foreign guests and identity card from local guest.
5. Make a photocopy for these documents.
6. Explain the resort structures/facilities, island map, abd the activities that can do in Pulau Perhentian Besar and Pulau Perhentian Kecil.
7. Make sure the room is ready then pass the room key to the guest.

One of my main job is become translator to the guests from China. This is because most of the China guests do not really understand our language and English. They also cannot speaking well, so I become the one who can understand them. I mostly handle the problem met by them to make sure they can really enjoy their holiday in Perhentian Island. We will send the love letter to them to confirm their boat company if they are not follow our resort boat. For the guests who follow resort boat, we need to prepare boat tickets for them. This is our Front Office Gang! I feel grateful because I have met this wonderful and amazing team! They teach me a lot in reception and the skill to handle guests although I only work for 10 days. We have met different guests from different countries and most of them come from Europe and China in this season. They teach me how to deal with them to make sure the guests can get the best service from us and have their best vacation here. I will never forget their helps and guides. I love FO Gang!
