Small children were very useful in Textile mills becuase they could squeez behind Machines to change spindels. In the early 1800's farm children worked hard and most people didn't see much difference between children working in farms and Factories.</div>]]></description>

At first parents were hesitant to let the daughters to work in the mills, but these companys biult boarding houses for the girls to live in.</div>]]></description>
