         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.) Breathing:&nbsp; Inhalation: The diaphragm is a large muscle located at the base of the chest cavity. The diaphragm and muscles elevate the rib cage when you inhale. passive. Exhalation: The diaphragm and rib cage relax. This relaxation causes air to be pushed out of the body.<br><br>2.) Gas exchange: The oxygen diffuses across thin capillary walls into the blood. At the same time, Carbon dioxide diffuses into the alveoli.<br><br>3.)&nbsp; Cellular respiration: is a process that the body uses to turn oxygen and food into energy in the form of ATP.&nbsp;<br><br>4.) Transport: Oxygen diffuses passively from alveoli into capillaries.
