I gained throughout this module was speaking comes naturally and reading does not. There are three different approaches to learning how to read. These three approaches are hands-on approach, presenting then practicing the information and showing the direct application of reading and spelling. One thing that really stuck out to me was first graders knowing 2,000 sight words at such a young age.

in this module, I learned different ways to break up sounds. I also used different strategies to help break them down. I also realized how confusing the different sounds and rules can be to a little. I think incorporating tools that they can practice with on their own without a lot of teacher help is going to be very beneficial.

Morphology helps me better understand the meaningful parts of words by breaking words down. In my classroom, I could see morphology being beneficial to my students and me to help us read better by being able to break down words into their smallest units. I think morphology plays a crucial role in language development and literacy skills.
