Since this was in the middle of winter, we had to wait to see real results. Students have tested these during recess (even in the snow). We were lucky to have a student whose parent is a Fisheries Biologist. This parent came to school with a co-worker to discuss and teach the students about their job of a Fisheries Biologist, what they do, and taught the students how to recognize different fish, whether they are meat eaters or something else, prey or predators, and distinctive characteristics of each fish.
