Explore how forensic science has evolved through the work of trailblazing individuals and landmark cases. Show your understanding through thoughtful reflection, personalized insight, and creative presentation—not just facts.

🧠 Part 1: Written Investigative Report (40 points)

Format: 2–4 pages, double-spaced, 12 pt font, 1-inch margins
Tone: Informational, but with personality and reflection. Your voice matters!

1. Opening Narrative (5 pts)

Start with a short, dramatic paragraph from a real forensic case or a pivotal moment in history. Then give a brief overview of how forensic science began and evolved.
AI-Resistant Tip: Use a reference from our class (a lab, video, or reading) to anchor your intro.

2. Forensic Science Game-Changers (15 pts)

Choose 3–4 key figures. For each:

• Brief biography and photo

• What they contributed to forensic science

• A real case or result of their work

• "Why They Matter to You" – Reflect on what you find impressive or relevant
  Creative Element: Write a journal entry from their point of view on the day of a major discovery.

3. Breakthrough Cases (10 pts)

Choose 2–3 famous cases that advanced forensic techniques. For each:

• Summary of the crime and investigation

• Tools/techniques used to solve it

• How it changed forensic science
