We expect much from our suppliers, as we should given Amazon's commitments to sustainability and safety. These requirements are steep, but the major issue I find is that they are disparate. Often they are implemented by teams across the business. Our suppliers are forced to adhere to mandates from departments who do not communicate with each other.

This is a far more negatively impactful issue than the requirements themselves. Suppliers need as efficient a process as possible to understand and address Amazon's expectations.

For those who are not going through vendor onboarding processes regularly, it's extremely difficult finding a wiki/guide/tool that explains you the process step by step. Having this guide would mitigate frustrations along the process.

For local suppliers the quantity of requirements discourage them to continue the onboarding process.
