Phillip was born May,21 1527 and died September 13, 1598.He was the son of Charles 5 and of Isabella of Portugal.From 1548 until 1551,Phillip traveled through Italy,German and the Netherlands.The marriage to his third wife came in result of the Peace of Cateua-Cambresis,which for awhile ended the wars between Spain and France.On October 25,1555 Charles resigned and gave authority to Phillip.Phillip became the king of Spain.He tried to work on the government which caused the rebellions of the Netherlands,of the Moriscos of Granada and of the Aragones.The Spanish armada went against King Phillip and support of the dutch rebels in the late 1580s.

Queen Elizabeth was born September 7, 1533 in Greenwich, England. She was the Daughter of King Henry VIII and his 2nd wife Anne Boleyn. She took control of the country after her sister, Mary, died. Her reign was the last of the Tudor monarchs and lasted 44 years. Her reign brought stability and economic growth to England. She worked to restore the Church of England and resolve the tensions between England and France. Towards the end of her reign the country suffered from failed crops, unemployment and inflation. There were riots and fights over food shortages and rebellions in Ireland. During the 1500's there was a war over the control of the trade in the New World.The King of Spain tried to take over England with the Spanish Armada in 1588. During that time the British ships met much larger Spanish ships and endured many losses. The Spanish retreated once they began to encounter harsh weather conditions on the sea.After the victory over the Spanish Armada, Britain became the dominant world power and things remained that way for centuries. Though she was a Protestant as England faced invasion from Catholic Spain's Armada, the large number of Catholics in England remained loyal to Elizabeth. Following the defeat of the Spanish Armada, Britain became the dominant world power and remained so for centuries.Queen Elizabeth died on March 24, 1603, at Richmond Palace in Surrey.

Henry of Navarre was born in Pau, France. His parents were king and queen of Navarre. Henry was born with different faiths. He was baptized as a catholic, but he was raised a Protestant. Henry became King of Navarre when his mother died. When Francois, Duke of Anjou died Henry of Navarre because heir to the throne of France. The Holy League excommunicated the French heir from the church. This situation brought about the War of the Three Henrys. The three were, Henry of Navarre, Henry III of France, and Catholic Henry. Henry of Navarre defeated the army of Henry II in the Battle of Coutras. Eventually, Henry III and Henry of Navarre joined forces. They took control of Paris and the French countryside. Henry III was stabbed on August 1, 1958 and died the next day. He declared Henry of Navarre as his successor. Henry of Navarre became King Henry IV. It would take a nine-year siege of Paris for him to have a secure place of the crown. Around May of 1598 Henry issued the Edict of Nantes. This confirmed Roman Catholicism as he state religion. He encountered multiple assassination attempts. He was stabbed to death by a Catholic fanatic on May 14, 1610. The head of Henry IV's embalmed body was lost. The head was passed among private collectors in 2010. A group of forensic medical examiners confirmed it belonged to him.
