You would think that Britain and France would simply intervene and stop Germany from militarizing but the politicians did not want another WW1 brutal warfare that left millions dead and many more mortally wounded. What helped the fact is that Hitler at conferences had continuously lied to Chamberlain and France to get what he wanted and the allies simply let him do it. The Iraqi army was decimated and U.S troops were in Baghdad within a month of the invasion toppling the Iraqi government and installing a new one. This coalition was created to quell Iraqi expansionism and to try and find WMD's they were holding this was also a show of force that the U.S would not crumble from fear with worrying a bout a war in the middle east
