Udacity

1) What evidence do you see of equity, inclusion, diversity, and/or accessibility?

The speaker is talking about the student’s goals, ideas and getting their own investors. This allows students to build their own ideas and skills based on their own identity based on the skills they learn from the course.

2) What ways could you suggest for improving equity, inclusion, diversity, and/or accessibility?

The puns at the end are excellent, but you need to understand what those programs are in order to understand.

Monk School

1) What evidence do you see of equity, inclusion, diversity, and/or accessibility?

They do bring in guest speakers that will meet the interests and connect with different students.

2) What ways could you suggest for improving equity, inclusion, diversity, and/or accessibility?

All speakers are from the government, but they say they are going to speak about indigenous groups as well. Why not having speakers from those groups to better understand and represent the issues affecting them.

Presenters are two white men who are very stoic and difficult to connect to. I found this video boring to watch as they didn’t even seem interested in what they were saying.

MIT OpenCourseWare

1) What evidence do you see of equity, inclusion, diversity, and/or accessibility?

The “My next move” helps students explore their identity and their own plan

Talks about students’ experiences in the workforce, and learning from each other’s experiences about companies and jobs

2) What ways could you suggest for improving equity, inclusion, diversity, and/or accessibility?

Most of the jobs/companies shown as opportunities are retail jobs, perhaps having different types of jobs shown as well would be helpful.

Udacity

The speaker who is a member of BIPOC, discusses ways for students to use their goals and collaborate with other professionals to leverage their learning into their businesses.

One thing I would suggest is for some text-based graphics that highlight key points throughout the video.

Monk School

Looks at evolving processes of the Federal government including Indigenous groups. They also bring in guest speakers to help facilitate discussions. They also bring in a mix of self-paced and live components into the course.

The speakers say government officials like Senators will be joining, including some Indigenous leaders to share their experience with the government would provide a valuable and interesting point of view.

MIT OpenCourseWare

The use of images, stock photos, short video clips and brands drive home the point and expand on the viewer's experience. My Next Corner is a professional development space to get ahead on readings to better of developing a personal career plan.

Using the personal career plan, it would be interesting to see how it would work if a student had a disability and what avenues those students could take in the work force.
