Can you believe that April is already here? Time has just flown by. We have recently begun Unit 5 of our ELA series, Figure It Out. Some of the themes that we will be reading in our anthologies include: See it, Sort it; Up in the Sky; Great Inventions; and Sounds All Around. Comprehension strategies and skills that we will practice this unit include making/confirming predictions, cause and effect and making connections.

We are coming to the end of chapter 8 in Go Math, which focuses on two-digit addition and subtraction. We encourage you to have your child do their math homework on Think Central at least once a week. Doing homework online is great practice for taking the tests. All of our GO Math assessments must be completed online.

Science topics in the spring include sound and light. We will be learning about American symbols in Social Studies during trimester three.

As always, thank you for all of your support! We are looking forward to an exciting busy spring!
