If you arrive late (after 8:30), you should be dropped off at the Judd Hall entrance on Kimbark. 3) If you have to use the bathroom, ask to do so before free time, not when it's time to start class. 

4) Make sure you have sharpened pencils. 

5) If you need to finish any work from the day before it will be out on your desk. 

6) Chat with friends or choose a free choice activity (one you brought from home or a classroom board game or craft). 

7) If you are not using your work time in class well, Ms. P might ask you to finish work with her. There is a boys bathroom next to the classroom. A girls bathroom above the boys bathroom on the second floor. There are gender neutral single user bathrooms next to the lower school office and inside the nurses office.


You may ask to use the bathroom during class, but try to wait until after instruction is given and ask first.

We will have lunch each day at 11:35-12:10, after recess 11:00-11:35. Come in from recess and wash your hands and use the bathroom during lunch. Once your hands are washed, get your lunch from your locker and sit at your desk. 

Microwaving should be occassional and only for warming up something for 30 seconds. It is not for cooking frozen meals or preparing mac & cheese. 30 seconds ONLY. A Thermos is recommended so you have plenty of time to eat and not wait in line.

You can play on equipment, play sports, share balls, play tag, walk and talk, run around, et cetera. 

 No wrestling, tackling, or rolling around on top of each other like little puppies. 

One way down the slide, no blocking up the slide at the bottom. This causes injury and also makes kids feel trapped if more kids come down. It is not safe. 

No tree climbing or climbing on playground railings. If it is light brown it is a railing NOT a climbing structure. Use the playground as it has been designed in order to play safely. 

If it's rainy or it's been rainy, it's a good idea to bring a spare pair of shoes or rain boots so we don't bring mud into the school and classroom. If you have a spare pair, you can keep them in your locker. 

We will be sharing recess space with multiple classes, be Kind, Thoughtful, and Responsible. Include others, solve problems respectfully, or seek help if you are not being listened too. 

When you hear 3 whistles, it is time to come in. Line up by Ms. P. 

At times we may take a "brain break" or short 5-10 minute run around.

When using lockers, bathrooms, et cetera get what you need without disturbing others and return to class.  Notice when others are learning and be thoughtful about your actions. 

You should not be playing games or touching anyone in line. You may talk at a whisper volume or be silent to help others we pass continue focusing.
