So the Little Match Girl made her way home. She asked some people if they would like to buy some of her matches, but they all said no. She was dying with cold. She finally reached home but she didn't want to go in because she had not sold any matches. When she went in she tried to warm up but she couldn't really because her house wasn't much warmer than outside. He father then asked her, "Hoe many matches did you sell?" The Little Match Girl hesitated for a moment because she didn't want to tell her father she didn't sell any. But she finally said "None" Her father beat her. She ran to her room crying. She struck a match in her room. This time she was in a warm house and the people that were there loved and cared for her. Then the match went out and she was back in her cold house with people who didn't car for her.

As waking up to the cold morning the small girl shook off the snow that had fallen on her during the night. She gathered the remaining on her torn gown. While coming out of the alley way a cart came rushing past and nearly knocked her to her feet.

Finally after getting out of the village she came apon a croud and decided this was the perfect place to start selling. There were people who stole matches and others who payed less than half price, so she packed up.

After a couple of hours later she went through the knolls and fields to reach her house, a small cottage at the end of town. They barely had a proper roof, with holes in the wall covered with straw and rags to keep the cold out.

When she reached the kitchen her father saw her from the hall. By the look on his face he didn't look so happy. Where were you. he said. I was trying to sell the matches but i did not get to finish. She replied. What for a girl at the age off 11 id expect you to have finished. He said fierce fully. But I am only 9. replied the girl. Who cares you still should have finished them now go to bed now.

While in bed she pondered on her life she was still cold but her life was all she could think about.

Fairwell my child, I'm afraid I must leave you now but always remember you are in the centre of my heart. The little match girl repeated those last words before all the matches went out and her grandmother floated back up to the stars. She sat there, in the corner shivering in the cold as all the lights in the town went out until all was left was the glimmer of the bright, silvery moon. She wandered through the dark alleyways until she was back in the towns main square. She looked along the cobblestone road to see if anyone had dropped a penny or two, or maybe even a scarf or blanket to warm her a little bit. Luckily she found a hand bag and inside was a soft woollen shawl and twenty pounds in change. She felt very pleased with her findings so she decided to head home to her old wooden house at the end of the last alleyway beside the cabbage field. When she arrived home she felt good to see the table, the rug, and her lumpy matteress bed. But suddenly all that good feeling drained away when she noticed there was glass smashed everywhere and lying on the mattress was her father. He was dead. She was all alone again. What was she to do? She went to the corner of the room and cried herself into deep sleep, the kind you never awake from and never want to awake for she was with the one person who loved her, her grandmother.
