At present, funding incentives favour short-form, national news. We need to develop a system that better funds local journalism and deeply-researched, long- form journalism and even digital journalism.

Balck hats – judgment, legality, morality 

Yellow hat – optimism, benefits

Green hat – new ideas, opportunities 

Blue hat – conclusions, action plans, next steps 

Opinion: They should be watched compulsorily but without seeming pushy or educational.

Use FMCG packaging to inform people that news can be fake too, just like your doubt of this product. 
Create alternate packaging for authentic products that confuse the buyer and also urge them to check the facts to see if it's authentic. 
Nudging consumers towards the fact-checking habit. 

Presence of hidden messaging or simply 'pareidolioa' (the phenomenon of the mind perceiving a familiar pattern where none actually exists). 

Similarly, a rating feature could be introduced to each profile, where any user of whatsapp can review and rate the sender's profile based whether they think the information they sent is accurate

This will encourage people to think critically before forwarding and increases accountability

For example, Instagram reels has a specific navigation. One could be created for news which would showcase all news updates under all categories, posted by verified accounts and sources.  

Similarly, an algorithm can be created to weed out fake news and accounts that create/spread fake news. 

Can also introduced in offices as a part of onboarding/induction process (mandatory) and educational level(5/6th standard) as a part of cyber education.
