         <title>Roman Roads</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Ditches were dug to allow drainage for the roads.<br>2. The roads tended to be built higher than level ground.<br>3. The roads were built with heavy stones, cement pebbles and tiny rocks for a firm base, and paved stones cut to fit perfectly together.<br><br></div>]]></description>

The Latin word for water(aqua) is where the romans got the idea for the name Aqueducts.<br>3. Rome had the largest amount of aqueducts having eleven(all supplying water) over a 500 year period.</div>]]></description>
