This quote was an uno reverse card for me. it came out of left field. I expected for Eddie to go to his heaven not somebody else's. This quote is significant because in the book we may never see eddies heaven. my hypothesis is that if we do see Eddie's heaven, it may be the 6th person that Eddie sees in heaven, maybe the little girl to try and teach her a lesson. perhaps she may also be one of the 5 people.

This quote confused the heck out of me after reading it. It was something else that came from left feild. This quote is important because it leads the leader to wanting to know how eddie killed the blue man. After we find out, the blueman leaves us with a lesson.

This kind of sets the scene in the book because it shows that there is no time in heaven. The reader can perhaps assume that when people go to die and wait in the heaven time for them is non existant.

I think this quote is necessary to acknowledge because this is probably where Eddies hatred from his father stemmed from. From this quote we can somewhat conclude that Eddie may have been holding on to his hatred because he viewed his father that was a drunk abusive father that neglected him and never realy knew his father, because he never spent any time with him.

This quote shows how abusive and temperamental Eddies father is. In this scene, Eddie walks over to his father and looks over his shoulder; in this scene, Eddie is very young so he knows not much of what he does. In return the father acted much on his impulses and waked him. This scene is important because it underlines how aggressive his father is and builds up his character in the story.

This quote was as intense as the 1970 game rock em sock em robots. Eddies Father through a strike and then Eddie block the blow and raises a fist in retaliation. Nothing further decelerated except for silence. This part is where Eddies father head pops of and is out of the match. He has nothing left to give Eddie except for pure and udder silence. This part of the story is significant because it show the escalated tensions from their relationship.

This quote made me speculate on what happened to his father. It made me hypothesis that Eddies father may be in hell'a lot of trouble with the devil so to speak. The reason why I inferred this is because the angel (Ruby) pointed out that he was not really here. This can mean that he isn't in THIS heaven or he inst in heaven at all. Most likely the latter of the two however.

This quote brings us to realize how weird it must be for Eddie to be in the heavens. As this is the second person that he meets, he still doesn't come to realize that he is dead. This helps us to be able to step into his shoes and somewhat experience the same disbelief that he has. This also helps us now to understand the principles of this heaven. We can now better paint a picture and better understand what goes on during the heaven.

This quote shows how much of an effect that the war had on Eddie even before going to it. He started shooting even before the war to become prepared. He start thinking about it as soon as he heard of it. I inferred that in this scene that he purposely chose the range at ruby par to feel comfortable when he practiced shooting so that it can correlate when he gets deployed.

Young men go to war because that is what entertained them growing up. I know a few people that were friends of mine that used to love army men and all of that kind of propaganda, which led them to join the army. Propaganda during this time period was very big. The people in this generation probably saw it to see war as a good and exciting thing. Other people that were a little bit more grown up like Eddie identified with the danger of it.

From experience, piano wire is very tight same wit guitars (part of the reason as to why it breaks all the time). This part of the story is significant because it shows the transitions between the two heavens. In one heaven he is his young self in the next, he is in a completely different stage of life, where he is old and his muscles are tight. The imagery in this part of the novel is significant because it putts it into perspective for the reader.

In this quote, it shows how old and authentic ruby pier actually is. It shows how long standing and the history of the park itself. This part is significant because it shows how much of a story is in the story. With this little section it helps the reader dive deeper in the story to help understand the time period and get a sense for the scene of what was going on in not only the present but the past and the future.

This quote shocked me when I read it. In not sure if it was the stupidity or the dumbness. Probably both. This here also show how bad the architecture and how care free the time period was back then. In this time period, where they had this kind of infrastructure, the care free mentality of the workers do not cooperate with one another.

In this section of the story, it is revealed to us the cause of death for eddies father. With out knowing anything about him not even his own son knowing what happend to cause his fathers death. This is a plot twist in the story because we didnt know how he actually died. roumours were told but we never realy found out the truth untill now.

In this quote above, We find out the harsh reality to the reason why Eddie stayed at the peir for his whole life. It was the only thing that had and could rely on and do. The sad part of it is that he probably couldn't do anything else besides that because of his leg disability. He was also old so if he wanted to retire he couldnt and if he wanted a new job he likely couldnt get one because of his age.

This quote shows the imensive love that Eddie has for his wife, Margarite. He loved her so much that he was very upset when she left the earth that he was somewhat angry. Not that that is a good thing, being angry at death. However with that said since he had those strong feelings it is a possibility that he never realy had them and what he was actually feeling was loneliness.

It may seem that he did not have much of anything to Dominguez and the atturny yet he did. It seemed sad that Eddie;s safe had no important information, and only useless things. Yet it was actually very important. Not for the atturny but for Eddie. All of these things in the safe that Eddie was safeguarding was actually his memory. Every important event that happened to Eddie was in that safe.

This quote reminded me of the scene in starwars where Anikin and Obi Wan were fighting in the lava and anikin gets burned. Obviously there two seprerate storys but both can have there contractions. Unlike Anikin, Tala forgives Eddie for not saving her, and buning her alive. This is big in the story because it show how encouraging it is to fogive somebody even with a big offense like this.

In this quote, It goes to show that forgiveness can come in many different forms. It can come in fixing something, words or gratitude. Were Eddie fixes what he has done is a symbol for for forgiveness. not only to him but for tala the little girl.
