There are many branches in psychology that can overlap each other.

Here are SOME branches:

Abnormal Psychology - The study of psychopathology and abnormal behavior.

Biopsychology - Study of the brain, neurons, and nervous system and how they affect thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Comparative Psychology - How animals think and behave

Cognitive Psychology - Scientific reason of how people learn and remember

Clinical Psychology - Study and makes cures for abnormal behaviors.

Developmental Psychology - Understanding how people learn and understand things.

Experimenting scientific methods to research the mind and behavior.

Forensic Psychology - They just help provide a testimony , analysis, or recommendations in legal or criminal cases.

Health Psychology - Improving mental disorders and illnesses and making medication.

There are more, but that is some of them.

4 Lobes of the Brain

The 4 lobes are the frontal lobes, parietal lobes, occipital lobes, and the temporal lobes. Each lobe has functions. The frontal lobe controls the way you speak, plan, judge, think, and controls your personality traits. The parietal lobes controls your sense of touch and your body position. Occipital lobes control controls the information related to your sight. Last, is the temporal lobes which controls your speech, sound, and comprehension.

It's not just the science involved! People can come up with the weirdest and craziest theories and test them out if it's true or not.
For example, you start something simple and say " Do people get more happy by eating a pineapple or a mango?"
Some theories can be very simple, but difficult to answer. For example " Why do people find things funny?"

Experiments are very interesting. You can learn many things that can also be useful.
Here's an example:

This study explains How to manipulate people(empty their purses) with limited resources.

Waiters in a Restaurant were divided into three groups.

The first group included waiters/waitresses giving a single mint with the check, and also no mention of the mint itself. This increased tips by around 3% against the control group.
The second group changed things up by having the servers bring out two mints by hand (separate from the check). In addition, they mentioned them to the table ( i.e. "Would anyone like some mints?"). This saw tips increase by ~14%against the control group. Well played.
The last group had waiters bring out the check first along with a pair of mints. A short time afterwards, the waiter came back with another set of mints, and let customers know that they had brought out more mints, in case they wanted another. This last group saw the increase of 23% against the control group.Expert in manipulation indeed.

Conclusion: Humans love individual attention and love personalization especially when it comes with small gifts.
