• What are your thoughts on the new Minimum Wage Ordinance that passed by the Seattle City Council on June 2, 2014 where the worker's wages were raised to $15.00 per hour?  Opponents of raising the minimum wage believe that higher wages could have several negative repercussions: leading to inflation, making companies less competitive, and resulting in job losses.

• What do you feel is a fair wage to be paying a fast-food worker in California?  

• New California law raises minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 per hour, among nation's highest.

Beginning on April 1, 2024, fast food restaurant employees must be paid a minimum wage of $20 per hour.

Are you surprised to see how low the minimum wage is in many States of the U.S. as compared to that of California, or other States with a higher minimum wage, such as Massachusetts? 

A state doesn't have to have a minimum wage law, but as of 2021, 29 states and Washington, D.C., did. A state with its own law can make the wage lower, equal to or higher than the federal minimum wage.

• Do you think this is fair that the decision on the minimum wage should be decided by the individual States, or should there be a nationwide minimum wage salary that is the same for all of the 50 States, and if so what do you feel would be a fair minimum wage for all employees?
