-Infuriated, Roy and his brother in law Milam drove straight to Moses house to speak to Tills great uncle 
-Till was kidnapped on the night of August 28, 1955 from the house of his uncle, Moses Wright.
-The two men forced Till into their car and drove all over Memphis. Sources say the two men may have beaten Till in a tool house behind Milams residence then drove him down to the Tallahatchie river
-His kidnapping was witnessed by his cousins Wheeler Parker and Simeon Wright.
-Three days later his body but was so disfigured that Moses Wright could not even recognize him
