What is your main reason for using or wanting to use tablets in your classroom?

I want to use tablets in my classroom because I want to use the technology to enhance the learning of my pupils and I want to help them develop their digital skills. I also want to help them to engage and share with one another, collaborate easily and  become more independent in their learning. I hope to improve both my and my students’ personal and professıonal development through this course.

What whole-school challenges do I already face or do I anticipate facing when using tablets?

I am an English teacher and European Projects coordinator in  a primary school for two years and at the beginning ; I tried to convince my colleagues who still want to teach in traditional way  and who think that tablets are for playing games. Most of the parents also think that tablets can be harmful for their pupils.I started using tablets with the teachers who were already motivated. Beside this, the internet connection was not very well. I told to school administratives and they tried to offer us a better internet connection. I think, we musn’t give up and we have to motivate the teachers, parents, students and school administratives and start working with tablets.

What classroom challenges do I already face or do I anticipate facing when using tablets?

I think a big challenge is to convince the teachers to understand why it is so important to take into use digital tools in teaching. Because most of them are afraid of using new ways of teaching! When teachers recognize the added value of  using digital tools in their classrooms it will be easier to motivate and train them. Parents are also a big challenge because they don’t think the advantages of internet but they think just disadvantages of it. I don’t have tablets in my classroom yet, but I am sure making a contract full of clear

rules will be helpful to use tablets in classrooms without any trouble.

1. Identify at least one idea for content you could produce together with your students that has a wider purpose and 
2. meaning than just the classroom activity. 
3. Create some content with a tablet to use as an example when doing a content creation project in your class

I have got an eTwinning project ‘ Travel with me’ and the project’s last activity is ‘Spring in my country’.My 3rd grade pupils will prepare a"photopeach" about spring. But before they do that; each of them will search and try to  find pictures about the topic.

1- they will  use picfont to add text to their spring pictures,

2- they will use loonapix to add effects to their photos,

3- they will use photopeach to create a slideshow.

My pupils will  share their slideshows via facebook class group,project group and project’s twinspace.

At the end of this module we should have achieved the

following learning objectives:

-Understanding of the concept of collaborative learning and how tablets can support this

-Reflected on strategies to develop effective group work

-Knowledge of at least a small number of apps that can be used for collaborative learning

-Identified some approaches for effectively assessing group work

I have been working with collaborative projects for five years. Thanks to the projects I involved; I and my pupils had the opportunity to improve our personal and educational development.My pupils love working with projects and whenever I joın a new project; I share its topic with them as soon as possible. Then they form teams and choose their subtopics to search. Giving feedback is also very important and teams try to give feedback to each other.They are also responsible for finishing the task on time. I usually invite an expert to my classroom and my students present their work to her/him. To give pupils limited time helps me to contribute them to the task.

I have been joining in eTwinning projects for about five years and I think,I had the chance to improve my personal and Professional development through those projects. With eTwinning, pupils can work in a protected virtual space with other European students by using various tools.  This educational area is not only a meeting  point  where they can learn how to become European citizens, but also a language training  place  where they can use foreig languages  in a natural  way. Furthermore, the development of eTwinning projects supports their flexibility and creativity. Some of my  projects have achieved remarkable results, for example the one about Cultural Exchange  with a school in Portugal scored a great interest. I and my partner had the opportunity to go to annual conferance  which was held in Hungary/Budapest  to present our project .That motivated me and my pupils so much!

TITANPAD is an online document-creation program that makes it incredibly simple for users to collaborate in real time, track revisions and keep account of different users working on the same file.

GOOGLE DOCS is also one of my favourite apps . With Google Docs, you can write, edit, and collaborate wherever you are and for free!

Here is an example:

1. Developed a clear understanding of the concepts of personalized learning and the flipped classroom
2. Understood how to use a number of apps to personalize or flip the classroom
3. Reflected on an example of how teaching is personalized
4. Reflected on your own teaching practices as regards personalized and flipped learning and flipped learning
5. Designed a lesson plan that incorporates ideas, strategies, tools introduced on the course
6. Reflected on the effectiveness of other people's lesson plans
7. Developed an understanding of how tablets can support children with special educational needs

we learn is tailored precisely to our learning styles, our interests, our emotional state and our environment. Of course,

for now, this is unrealistic and some might argue even undesirable, but if we see how far modern technology has come

in using "big data" to customize services according to our needs, it might just be less far away than we think. 

Either way, personalised learning is something we need to engage in and many of us will already personalise learning in

some form or way for our students. But what is personalisation and how can we move closer to it with the help of tablets?

For this reason,I think the use of tablets in schools will help  me and my students a lot! We can have the opportunity to choose the tool or application that best fit with my pupils’ learning needs.

With some applications like Voki, vocaroo and  classflow, shy student participate more in class.

To personalize the learning experience I have used:  google docs to collaborate with my Project partners, wikis,  Taking class notes: Evernote and Notability, for  creating concepts maps: I use Examtime and Popplet .I also used Tackk for sharing pages.

Finally; I am sure the tablets are an incredible  fantastic tools to exploit the potential of my pupils.

One reason I  believe that the flipped classroom has fewer management issues than a traditional classroom is that students are more engaged. They are not sitting and listening to their teacher, and the teacher isn't trying to keep them quiet. Instead, the classroom is filled with activity, engagement, inquiry, and learning.

I sometimes use EdPuzzle to motivate my pupils https://edpuzzle.comIt allows flipped classroom teaching but it also has an AfL component that allows you to assess how much each student has learnt from thevideo before they even enter the classroom. It's a really useful move forward in terms of flipped classroom teaching..

before the lesson  can be also a challenge for teachers.
