Compassion and authenticity- we can only progress by sticking to the facts and keeping in mind that we're all humans and should be on the same side.

I would say that I keep patience and "being classy" in mind. I don't know what a better word would be for "being classy" but what I mean by this is to ensure to respect the other person, not make them feel any less or disregard their ideas, speak kindly without trying to hurt their feelings, and overall being someone who is willing to listen in a respectful manner.
