Nowadays, more and more Western cultures and ideas are simultaneously imported into movies, books and other commercial products and spread through China’s own mass media, which is becoming more and more open to the Western culture. The survey found that young people in China, especially college students, are keen on video games, eating McDonald's, drinking Coca-Cola, wearing American brand shoes and watching Hollywood films. After graduation, they tend to work in foreign-funded or joint ventures. Research also shows that along with this expansionist individualism, there is rapid growth of materialism, functionalism, utilitarianism and consumerism among college students. The "power of money" is defeating other forces and becoming the benchmark for guiding individual choices and social behavior. From the survey, there are a considerable number of university-educated youth hold the mentality that the United States is superior to China in all its aspects. This belief is not only directed against a higher level of technology and higher standard of living in the United States, but also a means of social organization and value orientation of the latter. Though values are constantly changing, most youth still have a deep sense of responsibility to their families and they are interested in developing their own personality and personal identity. Therefore, while educating young people about Chinese history and culture, it is necessary to guide them to have a comprehensive view of Western society and culture.

So young people are willing to express their own interest in network events or encountered anywhere (forums, blogs, etc.), the Internet also use virtual reality technology to create an experience and interaction space. In this space, people are free to express their opinions and feel their influence on the object. Adults are generally less concerned with online games, however, online games create a virtual space in which people can live, learn, and fight, which has a huge appeal to young people and even young children, and let them devote a lot of time and effort. The charm of online games is being involved, participants not only have fun through play games, but also verify their ability.
