One day, a boy found a broken gate at the entrance and decided to fix it. While working, he discovered a letter hidden under a stone. It was written by a woman who once took care of the garden. The boy read the letter written with kind words and felt a deep respect for her love of nature.

However he realized one thing.

His grandmother wrote this letter. Because when she writes a letter, she always uses a red fountain pen.

It was a gift from her husband.

The boy visited her soon.

She had a small but cute house.

When he gets her home, his grandmother welcomed him warmly.

She looks glad to his visit.

He heard her about the letter.

The boy decides to protect the garden.

He asked people in town about the women who wrote the letter.

So,an old man named Tom,knows her.

He talked about her to him.

Boy looks photo on the shelf.

Boy said "Yes! Thank you your story!"

Tom give that picture and many Frits to boy.

He went to home feel very happy.

He looked at the letter again. He saw a small picture under some dark ink. The picture showed an old clock in the garden.

He went to the clock and moved a stone under it. He found a small wooden box. Inside the box, there were colorful flower seeds and a card.

The card said: “This garden has many smells. Put different smells together, like you put colors together.”

It was a nice job. A gardener from long ago left it for a new person.

First, the boy fixed the broken gate. He painted it a beautiful blue color. Then, he planted the seeds. He planted lavender next to lemon balm. He planted jasmine in a cool place.

Soon, the garden was very beautiful. It also smelled very good. People came to the garden and felt happy.

The boy did not know the woman's name. But he felt he knew her from the garden's smells. The secret garden was his garden now.
