It recorded the conversations between Plato and a man called Solon, who visited Egypt between 590 and 580 B.C. Solon learned about Atlantis from an old Egyptian. He emphasized that Atlantis was real for many times during the conversation.
Atlantean claimed themselves to be descendants of Poseidon and worshiped the great sea.
There was another civilization called Lemuria at the same time as Atlantis was. This civilization was located on an ancient continent in the North east of Australia now. They both had high tech and even fought against each other for several times. Evidence began to accumulate since 2010. a group of archaeologists claimed that they've located the lost Atlantis in 2011, under the sea area near Spain. "Pyramids under the sea" were found near Portuguese. Egyptians were once attacked by an army from the sea, but their identities still remain unknown. All these can lead to the final answer, but it is still a mystery. Maybe the whole thing was a hoax made by Plato as a fictional nation to inspire people at that time.
In my opinion, I think it's true for no reason. Nobody know that truth i think, but i just can't forget the idea of an ideal empire with such unbelievably high tech. We, so called human race, are just the fifth generation of civilization. Those who have been extinct were once just like us, but birth comes with destruction. None can escape from their fate.
