I have a BA in 7-12 Math Education, a MS.Ed in Outdoor/Experiential Education and recently started work in my doctoral program (Fall '16), and was accepted into the CPED cohort for January 2019. 

I have 2 children, that live with their mother in York, which is where I currently live as well, having recently moved back to York from Lincoln. 

I work at Concordia University in Seward, NE. I teach in the Dept of Health and Human Performance working with Recreation and Sport Studies majors, I also coach the York High School Soccer team in the spring. So...yeah...life on the road.

Previous to my work at CUNE I worked at York College (NE) for 15 years, doing just about everything you could possibly think of...Natural Sciences prof, Education prof, Soccer coach, Director of Athletics, Title III Grant Director (Technology Integration focus)...so goes the plight of a small, private-school.

I grew up in south-west MT, the youngest of 6 kids. In my un-obligated time I enjoy being outside...skiing, biking, camping, backpacking, etc. 

I am very excited be a part of this journey with you all.

I am a substitute teacher in Millard Public Schools in Omaha, NE. I sub almost every day throughout the week and love it! Oddly, through subbing I have the opportunity to get to know students and build relationships with them. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education K - 12 and Social Studies 7 - 12. Currently, I am pursuing full time jobs as I sub and hope to have my own classroom one day soon! 

In Fall of 2017, I began my Master's Degree in Education at Grace University in Omaha. About 2 months into the program, the university announced that they will be closing their doors in May 2018 for ever. So,  now I am working with UNL to continue to pursue this degree and continue to learn and become the best educator that I can be. 

I have been married to Brent (see picture) for 3 1/2 years. He is a high school math teacher in Omaha and an adjunct professor at a local college as well. We love to travel and have been to Japan, El Salvador, and Ireland together. I’ve also taught 6th grade in Iowa and worked with teachers in Russia.  I’m pursuing an MA in TLTE, have completed all the ESL courses offered at UNL, and am now rounding out my degree with additional courses that will enhance my teaching abilities.
 
I enjoy biking and jogging, being out in nature, reading, visiting museums, learning about history (especially through visiting historical sites in Europe), and sharing a cup of coffee with friends.

 I live in Lincoln, NE and have an amazing wife Beth and 3 daughters-Avery(9), Emalyn(6), and Brynlee(15 months).
