* My favorite song, if I had to choose just one, would have to be "With or Without You" by U2. This song was a favorite of my uncle Tony who bought me this album when I was pretty young. I remember listening to it 10 times in a row and immediately identified with it and fell in love with the U2 sound.

* My 3 favorite musical groups are The Beatles, U2, and Third Day. All three of these groups, although very different from one another, all strive for honesty and innovation in their sound and write songs that are positive and thought provoking and transcend language, age, and culture.

* I love the variety, the word play, and the innovative use of instruments. With U2, the Edges guitar innovation and the heavy use of effects is mind blowing.

- My favorite song right now would have to be LOVE by Kendrick Lamar, I like this song because it has a nice vibe and the person that introduced me to the song is important in my life.
- My three favorite artists right now are Kendrick Lamar, Frank Sinatra, and Khalid. I like these artists right now because they all have really great lyrics and anyone can relate to their songs. They may all be different from each other, but I think that the differences speak to my taste in music.
- I like that all of this music is appealing to listen to and that with each artist and genre, you can hear the influential differences. It really speaks to how music has changed and how it can be different when it comes from different places.
- Two different styles of music that I studied were classical and jazz. Classical is very instrumental and, depending on the artist, can be very dramatic or very calm. Jazz is very soothing, happy, and excited. It truly speaks to the era it came from.
- I like classical more because I like hearing all the different instruments harmonize to create something beautiful. It's a very powerful genre in my opinion.
- Jazz is less appealing to me because it's dynamics always stay the same, at least in the songs I listened to. The rhythm never really changes, if it's a slow or fast song it tends to remain slow or fast throughout it's entirety. Also, there isn't much harmony, with brass instruments usually taking the lead, and I usually like to hear woodwinds and strings.

1. My favorite song would have to be Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. I love this because this was my moms favorite song when I was little.
2. I love The Beatles because of their influence on the world. I also love Fleetwood Mac and Radiohead because I grew up listening to them.
3. The music that is composed and the lyrics that they tell.
4. I studied R&B and Pop-Rap.
5. I love R&B more because of the soulful affect it gives me.
6. I find Pop-Rap less appealing because of the dynamics and mood it brings. R&B reflects more on feelings while Pop-Rap has more "dirty and violent" lyrics.

It just so calm and smoothing.

My three favorite singers/ groups will have to be Frank sinatra, Queens, and last would have to be Rascal flatts. I like Frank sinatra because of his voice and the meaning behind his songs. He is a old singer so most people dont know about him. I like Queens because of their songs. They have some of the most iconic songs. I like Rascal Flatts i like his songs because of the meaning behind his songs.

I like oldies alot more than most of the modern music they have today. They are more calm and have alot more meaning behind them.

We learn about classical music and cajun.

I like more classical music it is more calm and and smoothing and it puts me in a calm state.

Its not that i find it unappealing it is that i prefer classical music more.

*My favorite song is Up And Down by E.X.I.D. because it is one of the most iconic songs that I've ever heard and it always puts me in a positive mood no matter how I am feeling.

*E.X.I.D., Blackpink, and Big Bang. Their music has a party type atmosphere that will make you want to dance anywhere. Their songs sometimes have a deep meaning to it behind their music videos wether you believe it or not.

*The music goes to thick to thin really fast when you least expect it. Their texture is very fascinating since it changes a lot unlike other types of genres.

*Kpop and trap. Both have rap parts whose lyrics can explain a whole bunch of things in a short period of time.

*Kpop, because the beat is positive, but can surprise you with a change of setting. The first time that I listened to their music videos I thought they were weird, but the more that I listen to it, the more I go into it.

*Usually the form can take in any place and the mood can be drastic. The dynamics and lyrics are very unexpected plus unique. This type of music is very different from the other genres which makes it weird in a good type of way.

Finally J-Cole, because of his revolutionary word play on his music and to me the stuff he talks about actually has some importance with people's lives today.
*To me the revolutionary attitude and the thought of how hard some people actually have to work to get to were they are is just really cool to me.
*I studied -rap metalcore and -post rock
*Of the two rap metalcore only because it had some repetitiveness to rap.
*Well to me some of their rythoms in the genres is to fast or to slow for my type of music. Also to me the pitch of the music matters because if the pitch is to high its anoying. Depending on the day the mood and melody of the music I listen to can differ.

I like Troye Sivan because his songs are all following his heart.Avril Lavigne's songs are wild, and her voice is really special. Aselin Debison's voice sounds naive and her songs make me feel I was peaceful.
If the musician's voice is special and it's exactly the voice I like, or the lytic of the song is great, this music will appealing me.

Saul Ortiz1. My favorite song would have to be No Quarter by Led Zeppelin because my dad showed it to me when we still didn't live together and it always reminded me of him, aside from this it's just an awesome song.

2. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Dirty Art Club are my favorite musical groups because they give off a real trippy vibe and sound, bluesy.
3. The lyrics always have a meaning or tell a story, the technicality of the riffs, the changes. Most songs are not your typical verse, chorus, etc. They have a good bridge, change, trip, outro.
4. Two genres I studied in this class were classic rock and rap because this is what I find the most interest in and what is most appealing to my ears.
5. I'd have to go with classic rock because there's way more musical artistry in the music than rap I would say. More meaning in the lyrics. Actual use of instruments.
6. I find rap less appealing because a lot of the rap that's popular now a days is very mainstream and it seems like you don't even have to put in work to get some recognition because society likes crap music. This being said, I find it way easier to throw together a rap song than a good classic rock song.

I really liked most of the songs that were released near my birthday even though it isn't the exact date. All of the genres were cool except the rock genre. The name of the song is Know Your Enemy by Green Day. It repeated the same words/lines over and over again. Pop and latin was my favorites ones as usual since it is some of the genres that I listen to today. Some examples are Bring Me To Life by Evanescence and Tal Vez by Ricky Martin. Compared to songs these days, I still like some song that are from back then. Some even better, but today's taste is not bad either.

1. Things I Learned
- Only some things are copyrightable. For example, literary works, musical works, sound recordings, etc. Even them, there has to be some kind of viable production of the work, you can't copyright an idea.
- The fair use acts applies to people who want to borrow a type of work for specific purposes, such as educational. It also only applies and depends on how much of the work is used and if you are earning anything from using it.
- Copyright is legal for the length of the author's life +70 years.
- Content ID is used by youtube to help ensure that you aren't committing copyright infringement.
2. Questions I Have
- How do you get your work to be copyrighted?
- Can you determine how much the percentage of the royalties goes to you?
- How can you make sure that what you create hasn't already been created?
- How do you create something and restrict anyone from stealing it from the beginning of the creation process?
- If you're in the middle of that process and someone steals the basic concept of your idea and produces something first, can you legally do something?

Even though the law was invented the century before, it has changed drastically with the newer situations occurring all around the world. What is copyrightable and how the fair use treatment can allow it, are some of the ways that us humans use it today and will continue in the future. The lifetime and 70 years later rule is a question that I have. What can be the worst consequence for someone who violated that law? How long will the court last? And what would occur if this all disappeared?

This works by increasing or decreasing the frequency in audio to adjust to 2 basic components: Bass and Treble. This can be fixed by using a piece of equipment: An equalizer.
4. An example is: Raising the bass = Lowering the frequency. This will make other certain pieces of audio sound a bit quieter and increasing the amount of bass.

If they listen to happy music, they are a happy person. Etc. The melody and the music relates to the human's own story. It doesn't matter the language or wether you know what they are talking about, it's the feel. The composer and the audience can have the same mentality. Creators make music in order to let go of their feelings and not go mad. Music makes life not boring.
