Talking about my first impression is, I would say that I'm not really surprised to see that this course are being offered by our programmed since it it one of the keys aspect in the modern science field. As far as I remembered, (Correct me if I'm wrong 🙏🏻) this studies also emphasis on the genetic engineering and manipulation where we can took and advantages of the existing chromosomes to prevent future diseases like Polio etc. by studying them. My first impression of this course is that it seems quite challenging since I’m not from a science background, but I’m really excited to learn. The first lecture opened my eyes to how species can change and adapt to their environment over time.

My first thought about this course is that it probably has to do with why living things don’t all look the same, like why certain birds have different beak shapes or why COVID-19 have different variants. So I thought that this course might explain why these things happen and help us to understand them more deeply.

My curiosity about animal evolution grew after learning about Darwin’s finches where they have different beak shape and size due to different food sources. How can they become different species when they actually came from the same ancestor?
