According to yale.edu, problems such as violence, alcoholics, water disease, and blood spread from gladiator fights were a few examples of Rome's downfall. Many guests at lavish parties got really sick from eating and drinking until they got drunk and ill. Nowadays, alcohol consumption has gotten a lot worse. Alcohol consumption is way more common now.

It relates to that because Rome had many crimes. Rome also had emperors that wasted money. According to SDG 16.2, it says that it wants to end abuse. This relates to gladiator fights, where people would get killed while others watched them.
