79% of plastic waste goes to landfills and into our environment. A large amount of this won't harm our Earth if we resorted to recycling. Recycling is collecting materials that would be turned into trash and litter, and turning it into another material to reuse it. Recycling can bring many benefits such as conserving natural resources, saving money, saving energy, protecting our environment, and protecting animals.

Recycling can bring benefits such as saving money. Most trash is let out into the environment and landfills and is a waste of our materials that are only used once. Instead of spending a lot of money on making new materials from scratch, we can save money by making new materials out of old materials.

When recycling materials, you can take empty plastics and get money from them. It also takes money to make plastics, so when we reuse plastics, it's saving money from being taken to make more.

When we recycle our plastics and waste, it gets remade into new products instead of going into landfills, which eventually ends up in the ocean. Sometimes when animals in the ocean see a piece of plastic, they consume it, which kills them after getting into their stomachs.

Going along with conserving our natural resources, we need these natural resources to protect our environment. Many different natural resources can be used to make many different things. Trees can be used to make cardboard and paper, water is used to make plastic bottles, minerals can be used to make glass and metal containers. Lack of these natural resources brings a lot of danger to our environment. If we conserve these natural resources by recycling, we can save our environment.

Today, plastic can be made out of natural resources such as cellulose, coal, natural gas, salt, and crude oil. When our litter is let out into our environment, it is a waste of natural resources. If we continue to do this, we will start to run out of our natural resources. This can be improved or even solved if we recycle in order to conserve our natural resources.
