Summary: (AB) Leaders aim to be aware of ethnic and cultural diversity among the student and staff. By doing so, leaders can then interact with students and staff in an understanding manor as well as develop a climate that appreciates and promotes diversity. The curriculum can then be developed to respond equitably to the staff and student population to assure all learn. Leaders can develop a climate in which it is safe and comfortable to learn from one another as well as develop empathy within a cultural lens.

Driver (AB): In order to be 1 leader of a multitude of staff and students, the leader must set the tone for an environment that is fair to all regardless of race, ethnicity, class, gender, or disability. In creating this environment, the leader is a driver to assure the core focus is student engagement and learning.
