In the story ¨The Gift of The Magi,¨ Della is sad because she doesn't have a gift for Jim for Christmas tomorrow. Della barely had money and was working hard to get a chain for Jim´s watch. The change in the story is that Della sells her hair to buy a watch chain for Jim. Jim also does the same to buy a comb for Della but he doesn´t have any money so he sells his watch for the comb. When they were giving their gifts, it didn´t matter because they sold their items, but they only needed their love.

The Gift of the Magi The story, was about how two couples were trying to get a gift for each other oan Christmas but they both did not have enough money for each other to get a gift they both decided to sell their positions to get each other a gift. When they were both together they realized that the gift was useless because they sold their positions and the gifts were useless now. They don't need to get each other anything because they realize that their love is stronger than anything.
