Similar to Las Vegas as well, where the road to Santa Clarita is empty and you only drive here to go to Santa Clarita really. Also, you can sense the uniqueness of the town and that there are unspoken rules, not bound by the law, but still respected. This is because it has an image to uphold, similar to the Levittowns that where well known for their pleasant environment and lavish greenery. It was often referred to as a "Paradise." Mostly because of its famous amusement park, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and water park, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. Also, Santa Clarita is different because it may seem new and young, but the Santa Clarita valley has been inhabited for just as long as Los Angeles. It is actually were the USPS mail headquarters is. But there is also a more inviting vibe than the average Levittown. This could also be due to the presense of Six Flags. But I believe it comes from the comunity. But no matter what they may say, they will always somehow at some point bring up the houses. This is is where you see that Santa Clarita significantly relates to Levittowns. Initially, the obvious fact of that they are both  gated communities. Even if its inthe middle of nowhere, when a place of living is part of a communitiy that is delebritly trying to be gated, it forces a sense of unity, and then dominance/superiority over other "non-gated" people. This is easier to observe for us, from West Ranch, because of our demographic. Specificly in the communities, the houses also share similar qualities to those of Levittowns. First-of-all, they are all built with identical structure, and the colors are all similar, varying only partially, and generally are of the lighter and softer colors in the spectrum. The last detail that is not as well known but is a distinguishing feature of the Levittowns and is very noticable in communitites that share this quality. That is, the fact that many of the homes where built very close together. The reason behind this was that they could make as many houses on the land they had and it resulted in a greater sense of unity. It also has to do with the way they spend their leisure time  and their money. In many gated communities, liesure is spent at the country club/golf, eating out at some urban resturant that is overpriced but the food is artsy, and frivolus shopping. Tying perfectly into the next point, their financial descisions. Due to their excess wealth, many people in Levittowns buy moer thingd they want, but might not need.  As seen here, this person has a boat, even though this is Santa Clarita, a desert, and the closest body of water is 35 miles away. Also there is the cars. Just walking around Satna Clarity for an hour is enough time to most likely pass by 10+ Porsches, many BMW's, too many Mercedes', and if your lucky, the occasinal Ferrari. That's just the tip of the iceberg.
