It reminds me to think about the other person's perspective. Just because you think it should be a certain way doesn't make it the only way. Try to look at situations from many sides.

I think that if my students felt comfortable using their imaginations, they wouldn't always be so concerned about getting the "right answer."

"If you have a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail." I like this one because it is a reminder that not every problem can be solved in the same way. It is a good reminder. Although, sometimes a hammer is the only solution!

Imagination is more important than knowledge. ~~ Albert Einstein This quote spoke to me because I feel that in recent years more and more pressure has been placed on teachers to meet standards and pass assessments. This has caused teachers to push creativity aside. Personal experience has shown me that when given an opportunity to be creative ALL students excel because they have the freedom to express themselves in a creative way.

Imagination is like cheese. There is so many components that create an imagination and yet there are so many holes to fail. Just keep slicing your problem into small bits and eat it!
