MPT is responsible for public health and sanitation, waste removal and management, town planning, environmental protection and building control, social and economic development and general maintenance functions of turban infrastructure.

MPT started as a Sanitary Board in 1874, formed by the British. From its gradual and sturdy development, it obtained Larut & Matang district Council (MDLM) its Municipal status on 1 September 1979. In general, the council as the Local Government Act 1976 (Act 171) being the body responsible for managing the Taiping area based on local interest as well as a local planning authority under the Town and Country Planning Act 1976 (Act 172). The building completed in 1891, was designed by G.A Lefroy an architect and chief surveyor from Australia. This magnificent building was first used by the Perak Trigonometrical and Survey Department in Perak. From 1931 to 1935, this building was taken over by the Taiping Sanitary Board.

Today, this building is the best example of timber and brick building architecture in Taiping. The courtyard outside and the open space next to Taiping Municipal Gallery (called as laman Budaya) also displays interesting exhibits such as a diesel locomotive named Telok Chempedak, some sections of an old railway footbridge, a railway station sign and a classic English red phone booth. These interesting attractions provide an excellent overview of the colourful history of Taiping. It is valuable by Malaysian Museum standards, thanks to the Taiping Municipal Council that has managed to upkeep the standard year by year. The Taiping Municipal Gallery is a must-visit attraction whenever visitors come to Taiping. Site visit to the tourism product for Taiping
Take a MPT van and go to the first destination which is at Hulu Tupai Rimba Alam.
We need to take 4x4 car because normal car can't go there. The place was surrounding by flora and fauna, the main attraction was waterfall. This place was about a chalet which tourist can sleep and take the package that they provided. Then we had breakfast at there.
Going back to gallery to rest a while before continue our site visit.
Continue our journey to Batu Kurau. The first stop was Anyaman Bertam
Pull off the bertam's wood from the rattan to make it as carpet.
Second stop Sempeneh Riverfront Chalet
Talk with the owner and talk about how she want to promote her business by putting their brochure at our gallery.
Third stop Madu Kelulut
Seeing Kelulut and taste their honey.
Our last stop was eating at Lapar.Co.

Then, I need to find some news about Taiping in 2021 and make it as news letter. At the evening, we've got a tourist from London which is he was so excited to know about his first day at Taiping and we were glad can give him some info that will help him in travel while he was in Taiping.

At 10.05 I go with my supervisor who are in charge in intern. We go to MPT and went to the level 3 for the meeting room. I need to setup the PC and some foods for the VIP who are conducted the meeting. In the meeting, I need to play the slide of each participate's logo and need to do some extra work which is remove the background of the logo and show some editing skills. After the meeting, all the VIP have a lunch and we end the meeting

Do some job which is about the gallery. Then, we got 2 tourist which first from UiTM Machang and second from Kuala Lumpur. Then the tourist from Kuala Lumpur, they come here to treasure the Taiping and decide to come here for some info about Taiping. I need to setup the computer because I need to show all the logo from the participate. I went with Miss Ayu and Mrs Huda and they called some important VIP to choose the logo. After we done the meeting we need to choose another day because we still need more time for choosing. I clean up some stuff and ready for going home.

Summary
I learnt a lot in this meeting which is I learnt how to conduct the meeting and using some stuff while in the meeting. I show my skill on editing pictures with remove the background. I am so proud with myself because all the people in this meeting are so humble and they treat me like a staff not like a student. Using a photostat machine and make a copy of invitation letter about 63 copies. This invitation letter is about Bazaar Cross Street at Jalan Barack, Taiping. This letter to inform the sellers to join the meeting that will be held on next week. In 2019 Bazaar Cross Street was a meaningfull activities in the night but due to covid-19 they need to stop and now it will continue. Then after done the photostat, I need to stamp the finger stamp at each name of business.

I have to go for outside work which is lead a group of tourist from Putraya to Kuala Sepetang. A group of senior cetizen that wanted to take a boat tour around the Kuala Sepetang. I got a chance to join the group. The ship's leader take us to see the Nelayan Malay's village and Nelayan Chinese's village, then go to eagle feeding. After done the boating, we go to have a teatime at Mak Jah's mee udang. I got to taste 3 big prawn and the delicious of mee kuah. After done for the trip, I, Miss Ayu and Mrs. Huda going back to the gallery.
