Plants are very essential to the Earth on behalf of the society and environment. For the society, plants provide the air we breath. Also, plants are a source of not only our food but the food of our livestock. For environmental functions, the plants are used in the process of precipitation and evaporation that provide an on going cycle for the plants and humans to survive.

I chose this video to display the process of photosynthesis because of the use of the vocabulary words. As a visual learner, this short clip really helps to make the words from the notes come to life and be put into action what is happening. It gives an accurate play by play and is easy to follow!

The Tundra is one of the biomes effected by many ecological factors. Such as, climate change and human development. The rising temperatures in the typically very cold tundras, create the ability for non tundra plants to grow. That cause short life spans for these plants because they do not have what they properly need to develop. As seen in the picture, oil spills have become a concern due to the effects of human development in these areas.

The Neolithic had many effects on the human population. It transitioned them from moving place to place hunting for food, into farming and staying planted in one location. This was a big change for these people. Along with this change came other responsibilities such as village chiefs and specialized jobs to help their new communities run efficiently. Due to their planted roots, the people invented many new tools that did not have to be compatible with migration. Over time, the people got settled and became more in sync with their new found villages.

The Green Revolution was a significant time in history that has made a great impact on America today.
With this innovation the mission was to reduce hunger and famine around the world. That indeed was carried out however, some negative side effects also came along with it. It is hard to tell whether the pros or cons outweigh one another. Here are some more facts at the link below.

https://www.thoughtco.com/green-revolution-overview-1434948

There at many great uses for plants in our daily lives as humans. I would have to say that one of the best uses of plants would be in the form of medicine. Due to the treatments or drugs that plants have created many people live better lives. One drug that was formed from the plant Taxus brevifolia was in the form of Taxol.
"What is Taxol? Taxol is an anti-cancer ("antineoplastic" or "cytotoxic") chemotherapy drug. Taxol is classified as a "plant alkaloid," a "taxane" and an "antimicrotubule agent.'" Taxol is a drug that helps slow the growth of cancer. Thus, this drug has saved many lives. I would have to say this is one of the best uses of plants in medicine because so many are affected by cancer. Attached is a URL to read about more uses of plants in medicine.
http://www.medicinehunter.com/about-plant-medicines
https://www.chemocare.com/chemotherapy/drug-info/Taxol.aspx

This picture is a tad dramatic however, its point gets across clearly. This is a depiction of the future is air pollution is not kept under raps. Currently there are laws set in place or states too keep air qualities up to par. If they do not do so they are fined, heavily! With that being said, the growing population results in more air pollution with more manufacturing and vehicle use. We must continue to educate about sustainability and keep tabs on our Earth to keep us and our future safe!
