Pierre Certon may have been a student of Josquin Desprez and was always very confident. He lived most his life in Sainte Chapelle. He was always involved with many musical activities in his life and wrote multiple songs like Je Le Vous Dearia, which is one of his most famous peices.

How the renaissance affected art and music

The renaissance was a great time for the advancement in music and art in many ways. First, there were many different artists who made lots of art and music at the time. Next, since there were no big wars at the time it was easier to travel to different countries and spread music or art. Also, since wars were not taking place it was easier for people to learn how to make music and art. Clearly, the renaissance was an amazing time for advancement in music and art.

Homphonic music is musical texture based primarily on chords. In homophony the highest part is the most important (loudest) and there is not much rhythmic variation between the different parts.

Leonardo da Vinci
