First of all, Havoc provides great stress relief. Studies have shown that having a pet can lower stress levels. Since Callum had been worrying about his identity earlier, Havoc was a great way for him to relax and cheer up. Problems had been arising since Callum arrived which also brings some degree of stress. Because of Havoc, Callum seems to have become a happier person.

Furthermore, Havoc is a great pet. Since the beginning, when Callum first found and brought him in, Havoc had been a rowdy and wild animal. He ate more than the average dog and played rough. Callum had fun with Havoc all the while hiding and caring for him. Because the puppy was chaos-ridden, Callum would get in trouble, so, he sneaked Havoc and hid him in his room, which his roommates Tamara and Aaron eventually found out about. Although panicking at first, Tamara and Aaron eventually grew to like the puppy and hid the secret as well.

Imagine a baby wolf who lost its mother, walking in a creepy forest alone. Would you want to take it back to your home and care for it? In the Iron Trial, Callum finds a lost baby dog in the forest and names him Havoc. This wolf, now named Havoc is actually a chaos-ridden wolf whose parents were killed by Aaron, one of Callum’s friends. Callum takes in the wolf, which could be dangerous for the Magisterium later on in the future. Should Callum’ve brought Havoc back to the Magisterium? Callum did the right thing by bringing Havoc in because he is a great pet, provides stress relief, and is entertaining.

Taking Havoc in was a good idea on Callum’s part. The positive aspects to having Havoc outweigh the negative, as Havoc was able to lead the group to the kidnapped Aaron and help defeat the chaos elemental. Because Havoc provided great stress relief and is a great pet, this should more than enough be the reasons why Callum did the right thing by bringing him in.

Some may argue that since Havoc is a chaos-ridden beast, something said to have no personality or memories, he could seriously injure or kill people in the school. However, as Callum stated, Havoc was born with chaos inside of him and has plenty of personality. This means that maybe what people know about the chaos ridden is not all there is to it. Although people may add that bringing pets, let alone chaos ridden ones, are forbidden in the Magisterium, Callum could get in trouble. However, assuming for Callum’s point of view, who could leave a baby puppy out in the forest?
