         <description><![CDATA[<div>Robert College that <strong>the first institution</strong> teaching through the medium of English was found in 1863 by an American missionary. The purpose of this institution was to spread American culture, hence the language of instruction was English, and it followed a curriculum comparable to that of modern English colleges. Since then, Robert College has been renamed Bogazici University, which is now one of Turkey's most well-known universities.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Galatasary High School</em>, which teaches in the French language and <strong>offers an elective English course</strong>, was established in 1868. Elective classes in Arabic, Persian, Armenian, Latin, Greek, Bulgarian, English, German, and Italian were added to the school curriculum in the following years. Galatasaray High School marked a watershed moment in Turkish education. It was the first public school in the country to provide foreign language classes.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1776, <em>the Imperial Maritime Engineering Schools</em> were established. Since 1838, English has been the required foreign language in schools, replacing French. British teachers began to offer classes at the institution. Maritime Engineering School was given a new arrangement in 1910, based on the British Naval School system.</div>]]></description>
