I agree with George's actions, because if he didn't kill Lennie then the other guys would've done something worse to him. I liked the ending but it's sad that Lennie had to die. I think what George did was a mercy killing because it was a better option then another guy killing him or locking him up so he wouldn't suffer. Like when Carlson shot Candy's dog, if George didn't kill Lennie then he would've regreted it like Candy did. Also if he hadn't killed Lennie a lot more pain and suffering would have been put on Lennie and I don't think George wanted that to happen.

I agree with George's actions at the end of the book. In my opinion i believe that although it was an amazing ending it was rushed a bit. I say this because they don't really explain what happens after that. I also think that what George did was a combination of mercy killing and murder. The reason I say this is because he killed Lennie in a way that he would not feel anything while Curly was saying that he would have shot him in the guts just to see him double over. I also say that he murdered Lennie because Lennie did not agree to this and was unaware of the fact that George was going to kill him."No Lennie. Look down there acrost the river, like you can almost see the place."Lennie obeyed him."106. he told that to Lennie so that he would not notice the gun that he had.

I agree because he kind of out Lennie out of his misery, and Lennie was a problem for George and other people. But I also disagree because it would have been nice if they got their ranch in the end. Honestly I didn't really like the way it ended, I thought it was a good idea to make it a sad part where he kills Lennie, but it's just the way it ended that I didn't like. What George did in my opinion was mercy killing because either way Lennie would have died, so would you rather have him get shot by Curley in the stomach and bleed out slowing, or George killing him quick by shooting him in the back of the head. Plus if George didn't do it himself he would regret that later. Carlson explains to Candy that his dog is suffering and he eventually talks Candy into letting him "put down" Candy's dog, and on page 47 Candy says "Awright, take im."

And Carlson takes him outside and then it says "A shot sounded in the distance."

So what I'm saying is that Candy probably regrets letting Carlson put down his dog, because he should have done it himself because he was there when he raised the dog, he should have been there when it died.

I agree with what George did because if he didn't shoot Lennie, then Curley would've killed him later. I liked the ending except I wish Lennie had lived. At least he went in peace. I think it was a little bit of murder and mercy killing. It was mercy killing because Lennie would've died later on. It was murder because Lennie didn't ask for George to kill him. Just like Candy's dog, he didn't ask to be killed but you know that he was suffering.

I agree with George's actions because if he hadn't killed Lennie himself he would regret letting Curley kill him because he didn't know Lennie and it's not right. Also, Curley being the only one with a gun, he would have shot him in the stomach and make him double over. doing that it would hurt. George shot him in the back of the head so it wouldn't hurt.

I agree with the outcome of the novel. Many bad things would have resulting in George not killing Lennie when he did. He would regret Curley killing him, not him.

I sort of liked the ending of the novel. Although very saddening, it resulted in the understanding of several symbolism ideas throughout the novel. With Candy's dog being put down, he was regretful that he hadn't put it down himself. So the dog itself was Lennie.

What George was doing was mercy killing. If George hadn't shot him, Lennie would be in pain from Curley, Curley definitely would make Lennie hurt. Which I don't know why, because Curley hadn't cried or went to his "wife" when he saw her. It almost as if he was using this as a reason to hurt Lennie. He didn't love her.

I agree with what george did because he took lennie from being beaten and killed. So i think he mersily killed lennie so lennie didn,t have to suffer .So i belve mercy killing is right and i think it should be allowed. So people dont have to suffer and die in pain and if i was in pain. I would rather be killed than to have to be in pain and suffer till i die or be on so many pain killers that i could be a walking drug store figure of speach just saying. but i wouldnt want to be on pain killers to live if im in pain.

I agree with the outcome of the ending of this novel. I agree because if George have not kill Linnie, Linnie would of keep doing mistakes and proble kill someone again not meaning to. My opinion is it was great and never really expected it to end like this. What George did in my opinion was mercy killing. I think this because if he didn't kill Linnie, Linnie would keep doing stupid thing and not meaning too proble kill someone. This reminds me of when candy dog got shot because it stinks and was old couldn't see and could barely eat.
