The practice of capital punishment is a common topic of debate in society, and there are many different opposite opinions about it. Capital punishment is a legal process where a person is sentenced to death after being found guilty of a crime, this sentence is gived to people who’s guilty for crimes like, murder, terrorism, arsonist or hardcore crimes, it depends on the laws and jury that leads the case. It is a highly controversial topic around the world due to ethical, moral, and human rights concerns. Some people says that it serves as an effective sentence and promotes justice, others believe that it’s pretty cruel and is against human rights and it doesn’t work their purpose. 

 

One of the arguments that can be used to say that capital sentence works is the effect of this punishment. There are many possible criminals that doesn’t commit crimes due to the possible of being caught and sentenced to capital punishment, this is not a supposition, because if you look up some studies and statistics you can see that states with capital punishment generally experience lower crime rates, so we can say that this sentence is working, and people are desisting from committing crimes owing to the fear from being punished with death penalty. For instance, studies made in USA have shown a correlation between the presence of the death penalty and the decrease in murdered rates. So if we look at it in some perspective this is helping to social security.

 

Capital punishment also provide a sense of justice to victims and their families. In cases involving hideous crimes, such as murder, the punishment fits perfect with the severity of the crime committed. The imprisonment removes the criminal from society, but this still doesn’t give that sense of justice to the victims families or even at victims themself. So in a way this kind of punishment offers some closure to the families and a sense of justice to victims. The fact that the criminal can never hurt anyone again, bring peace and relief to the affected by the crime.

 

Despite of the benefits I mentioned before, capital punishment is not one hundred percent valid or certain valid, because it carry many issues with it, like the big risk of executing innocent people just because they were wrongly blamed. And it is not such weird situation, sadly it has happened before, there are many cases of wrongful convictions were innocent people has been accused and sentence for something they didn’t do, and had died for this sentence. So it’s a very unethical risk to take. One of the most impactful cases were this has happened it’s George Stinney, a 14 year old child who was convicted with death penalty without having proofs he was the one who committed the crime, and end up being the most young person being sentenced with this punishment, years later justice had proved that he wasn’t the responsible for the crime. So it’s a really complicated sentence, for this reason, how can you be one hundred percent sure that the accused is the real criminal.

 

It’s a violation to human rights, due to this sentence consist in killing someone as a consequence for their actions, it means they are violating "the right to life and the right to live free from torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment." Even though international laws says that death penalty can be used, but just must on the most serious crimes, Amnesty International believes that the death penalty is never the answer.

 

Although the affected by the crime might get some sense of justice, this kind of punishment is not progressive and also is the same that the criminal thought about the victim, it devalues life to nothing important. Keep using this punishment is restrict society from progressing, why we should keep using this medieval penalty’s? It’s the same that raping someone who committed rape, or cuting the hand from a thief. There are better ways to punish someone from their hideous actions, like life imprisonment. 

 

As I said in the beginning of this essay, there are many positions in this debate, and there are not right answers to this hard discussion. Both of the sides have solid arguments, but also some flaws. The ones that are at favor from the capital sentence have the argument that it helps to deter the crime by the fear and that it helps to get some justice sense to the affected, but it also have many risks, like punishing someone who’s innocent, or by killing someone and not getting the satisfaction they waited for, and having regrets all their life’s. In the other hand we have the people against this sentence, they say that it’s unethical, because is against human rights, and you can kill an innocent person just by mistake, and also it’s a medieval way of punish someone, so it’s not a good punishment. But it also have the con that the victim or family victim doesn’t get a big closure from the suffer, or that criminals are not that afraid of being caught, because they know they don’t risk their own life’s by committing horrendous crimes. To sum everything up, I don’t think there are right answers or right sides in this discussion, due to the point of view you see it, it changes a lot, so I invite you to investigate more about it and create your own opinion with knowledge and respect to the people who have different opinion from yours. 

We can see the reflection of this lose of individual will to do whatever they want on yellow guy character, because he ends up in hideous situations, suffering in this weird bedroom were he is repressed against his will and obligated to interact with other characters that he don’t want to. All this suffer is caused by his own dad, with to my belief can mean the oppression some people is exposed to without even noticing it or knowing who is the one controlling them.

Red guy ends up knowing the truth of everything, when he sees a screen with weird buttons that shows yellow guy suffering, and also he is catch by yellows guy dad, and we don’t know anything else about him.

The end of duck is pretty uncertain, due to his death and the previous chapter, but we can guess he didn’t end up free either. 

Yellow guy dad ends up being showed as the big guy in the series, he seems like to be the person behind all this twisted situations and the one committing all the mess that affected the characters.

 Well, as I said before, neither of the characters has a certain end, or it’s explain in a specific way of how their life goes after everything, but right before this last chapter ends we can see how the three main characters, yellow guy, red guy and duck are sit on the famous table we see them in all the serie, but with something different, their skins are another color from the ones we’re used to and they’re back at the first day that we see them at the start of “don’t hug me I’m scared”, which the only thing that make us is getting more confusion. But to my analysis this has a deep meaning, and it is that nothing they do or try can change the fact that they’re opposed against their will and that they would suffer pain, basically that they cannot do a thing that really can get them freedom. They are in a loop were they would suffer again and again, like in hell.
