Taoism's Chinese name is "Dao Jia", The word "Dao" means "The way".

This "way" is what the Taoists believe in. They believe that everything around them follows "The flow of life". Most people describe "The flow of life" as a river, you must not resist the river's current, you follow the current and drift around. Taoists also believe that everything must be balanced, so they created the symbol "Yin Yang". It represents balance, the black part and the white part have the same space, it also represents opposites, black and white, masculine and feminine and most important of all, yin and yang.
