This year I would like to implement vertical whiteboards in my classroom. Having the students showcase their work around the room with help with knowledge mobility. Another thing I'd like to implement would be more thinking tasks in general. My students need to improve their perseverance in productive struggle. Finally, I'd like to have students start self-assessing on navigation tools.

I want to implement vertical surfaces that are similar to a window type style for students to use that are different than a whiteboard. Also, continuing to do random groups and choosing them in creative and fun ways students get excited about.

I will continue to use VNPSs. I want to create a rubric with my students for group work and one for perseverance. I want to create navigation tools to help students see where they are and where they are going. I also plan to use the note taking format from the book.

I would do more of the vertical whiteboards and add give a daily thinking tasks. Plus I might try to add the assessments

I would like to implement the vertical writing surfaces and visual grouping. As the year progresses and I become more familiar with the new math curriculum I would like to do thinking tasks at the beginning of the lesson.

I like the knowledge mobility. We already have "Walk Arounds", but I want to make them more purposeful. I want to have conversations that are more intentional after we do our "Walk Arounds." I also want to use the visible random groups better. I am also going to be more aware of proximity questions.

I plan to implement more thinking activities at the beginning of the class period. I also plan to work on those questions...smile and walk away instead of being overly helpful!
