What did you like about your project?

After completing this project, I realized that food photography is my favorite subject in photography as a whole. I am very satisfied with the wide variety of foods and perspectives. Each photo has a different angle, which makes it even more unique. In addition, my quality was a lot better than the food photography assignment we did earlier in the semester. I believe that I had abetter understanding of how to properly take an effective photo that makes the food look amazing.

What did you learn?

I learned many things after the completion of my free choice assignment, however the most influential thing that I learned is that lighting is the most important part in food photography. Firat off, I made mistakes with the lighting and after I made the mistakes, I learned how to fix it and the settings on my camera. I can apply this knowledge of lighting not only to future food photography assignments but also to other types of photography.
