- has environmental, political and economic repurcussions

Too much rain (heavy downpours), causes floods and landslides. Too much heat and no rain (heatwave) drought and wildfires. Strong winds, such as hurricanes and tornadoes = damage to man made structures and animal habitats. Large snowfalls = avalanches and blizzards.

Extreme weather in Thailand:
Thailand is susceptible to extreme weather events such as tropical storms, floods and drought. The main natural resources in Thailand are the fishery resources, offshore oil supplies, fertile agriculture land in the central and eastern regions and the large areas of land covered in forests. Flooding in 2011.
