The teacher would show a number card and ask the students what the number was. After, the teacher modeled the number onto ten frames and then had the students do it themselves. We would start off with numbers 1-10 and once the students get the hang of it, the numbers would get to 1-20.

The lesson I observed was the teaching reading a story “I Like Myself” and then drawing themselves on an “All About Me” page and then asking what are a few things that are different than one another.
